Exam Outcomes

Dear Parent / Guardian,

At the start of a new school year I am delighted to write to you and share some exceptional outcomes that have been achieved by our students in this summer’s public exams. In a national context which saw a slight decrease in grades back to the pre-Covid levels of 2019 our students have produced some absolutely outstanding results.

At Year 11 in the key benchmark ‘Progress 8’ measure, the school estimates a score in excess of 0.95. This means that, on average, students have achieved a grade higher than their target in at least nine out of ten of their GCSEs. 57% of all grades were at 7-9, a record for this measure. 99% of students achieved a good pass (grade 4) in English and mathematics, while 98% gained a strong pass (grade 5) in both subjects. The average grade per GCSE course taken by the students is 6.79, which is again a record for the school. We also had our highest ever Ebacc completion both at standard pass level and strong pass level.

The highest individual performances were by Leo: 10 grade 9s, 1 grade 8; Yusuf: 9 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s; Benedict: 9 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s; Honore: 10 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s; Lewis: 9 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s; Louie: 8 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s; Travis: 9 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s; Nikola: 10 grade 9s, 1 grade 7; Melvin: 7 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s; Vansh: 7 grade 9s, 4 grade 8; James: 9 grade 9s, 1 grade 8, 1 grade 7; Faizan: 7 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s, 1 grade 7; Erakan: 6 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, 1 grade 7; Ted: 5 grade 9s, 5 grade 8s; Rayeed Tahmid:  9 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, 1 grade 5 and Laurence:  5 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s.

A level results were also exceptional and were the highest ever for a normal exam year.  43% of all grades awarded were at A*-A, up from 40% in 2023 while 73% of all grades secured by these senior students were at A*-B level the highest ever. The average points per subject, a measure of the typical grade per A level, is 42.5, the highest ever achieved by students at the school in a typical exam year.

The top performing students are: Snehaa B (4A*); Oliver B (4A*); Melrin D’M (3A*); James F (3A*); Jacob G (3A*); Neah H (3A*); Toby I (3A*); Arya M (3A*); George N (4A*); Benjamin V (3A*); Oliver W (3A*); Protyosh C (3A*, 1A); Joseph C (3A*, 1A); Chun L (3A*, 1A); Charlie B (2A*, 1A, 1B); Jonathan N (3A*, 1A); Irfan W (3A*, 1A); Oluwakorede A (2A*, 1A); Daniel B (2A*, 1A); Amish H (2A*, 1A); Christian J (2A*, 1A); Rafiah K-S (2A*, 1A); Hikmah O (2A*, 1A); Kenneth O-E (2A*, 1A); Aglae-Josephine P (2A*, 1A); Darragh S (2A*, 1A); Harry S-T (3A*); John Paul W (2A*, 1A); Ella W (2A*, 1A); Silvia-Ionela Z (1A*; 2A).

Whilst I would congratulate our students on their hard work and fantastic achievements outlined here, I would also recognise that for some, the completion of their courses represents success in itself and for many there are a vast number of achievements outside of the academic that should also be recognised. I am very grateful to parents and staff for their unwavering support of both the pupils and the school.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. E. Hodges
Principal
