General Prefect Selection Process – information for Year 12 students

Selection Process Overview:

1. Application Form Review: We will carefully assess the content of your submitted application forms to understand your motivations, suitability, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
2. School Record: We will conduct a general review of your school record, which may include your academic performance, effort, attendance, punctuality, behaviour record, and any contributions made to school life (e.g., assisting at events). These factors will be considered as indicators of your reliability, consistency, and suitability as a role model.
3. Staff Feedback: Staff members will provide feedback based on their interactions with and observations of applicants.
4. Student Vote: You, as the student body, will also have the opportunity to cast your vote, offering further insight into which candidates are best suited for the role.

What Happens Next?

The final decision will be based on a balanced consideration of all the above factors. Staff and student feedback, alongside academic, attendance, conduct, behaviour, and application form content, will guide the selection of the new General Prefects.

The newly selected General Prefects will be announced by the end of November, ensuring they are ready to take on their first official duty at the Carol Service at the start of December.
