RE: Update to Term Dates for 2025–26
I am writing to inform you of a change to the term dates for the 2025–26 academic year.
When the 2025–26 term dates were first published in May 2024, we used a Trust-wide
calendar across all academies, as has been our standard practice in previous years.
However, this year the local authority dates for Easter in Kent and Medway were different
from those in other regions, creating a mismatch that would have seen our academies open
while many others in the area were closed.
Following feedback from staff and parents, it became clear that keeping our original dates
would have caused considerable difficulties for some families with children in different
schools. We were also unable to obtain firm guarantees from local bus providers about
maintaining full service during the period our schools would have remained open while
others were on holiday.
To avoid disruption, we have made the decision to align our dates with those published by
Kent and Medway local authorities. This means:
● The Spring Term will now end on Thursday 2nd April 2026.
● The Summer Term will now begin on Monday 20th April 2026.
Updated calendars have been published on our website. If you have any questions, please
