Virtual Open Event

If you are scared about anything you can always talk to your form tutor. You can always trust them. You can have the chance to do so many extra activities such as badminton, cricket and rugby, which is what our school is best known for. All the teachers are amazing. You will have homework. But don’t worry, it is not that much you have to stress about. Just do your best to keep on top of it, rather than letting it build up. It might feel intimidating, being in a big school, but as it goes, you will be just fine! Best wishes for a fresh but fun start. Hope you have a great year ahead!

When I started the year I was nervous because I didn’t know if I was going to make friends or if I was going to struggle but once a couple weeks had passed I knew that I was going to like it I put the effort into my lessons and made sure homework was handed in on time.  

When you first arrive, you should not be scared. If you are worried or concerned you can get support from the lower school office or your form tutor. Navigating your way around may feel like you are in a colossal labyrinth, but after your first week or so, you will know your way around like the back of your hand! Your teachers will help you with anything you are struggling with, they are incredibly supportive. I did not know anyone when I arrived, but I have made friendships easily. Just remember to try your very best to have the best time at the Math School. Good Luck!  

Dear future year sevens, during your time at The Math you should always try to: Do your work on time, talk to everyone with respect (Miss/Sir), ask questions if you need help, wear the correct uniform and remember to bring the right stationery!
