The 118th Old Williamsonian Club Annual Dinner 2019
The Dinner last year was hailed as another success and was the best attended for a long time so you will not be surprised to hear that, apart from the menu, we are going to make very few changes for 2019.
The Date
6:45pm for 7:30pm on Saturday 16th November 2019.
Please note early start time and free Prosecco will be available from that time.
The Venue
The Ballroom at the St. George Hotel, Chatham (full address shown later in this notice); this will allow an attendance of up to 300. Last year we had nearly 150 in attendance and I hope this year we will break the magic 200 barrier! Dress code is formal, with black tie preferred for the gentlemen and posh frocks for the ladies.
The Format
As usual, formalities will be kept to an absolute minimum thus maximising the time for conversing with old friends.
The Cost
The Committee have decided to keep the cost to £30 per person for the seventh year running, although there will be no concessions.
The Menu
For the first time, this year there is a choice of menu, Menu A being the traditional fayre and Menu B being the vegan alternative. You need to state which menu you and your guests require and no, you cannot “mix and match”. Obviously, we will make suitable arrangements for coeliacs or diabetics although you will need to indicate this requirement on your booking form.

It was great last year to see so many new faces, especially as a lot of them were from the new generation of Old Williamsonians. Let’s hope that in 2019 there are even more young people there, as well as the stalwarts.

- At the time of writing the hotel is offering the following rates for rooms for those who may wish to stay over: –

In each case this is the cost per room and includes a full English breakfast and VAT. These prices are subject to change at any time and you are advised that the earlier you book, the cheaper the rate you are likely to achieve. You are also advised to book by calling the hotel and state that you are attending our Dinner to get a preferential function rate.
If you wish to attend, please complete the form below and send it to me as soon as possible. Payment is required with booking. If you want a confirmation of your booking either enter your email address in the space below or enclose an SAE so that I may return the booking confirmation. If you wish, and this is much easier for me, you may pay for tickets by electronic transfer in to Club’s account for which the sort code is 40 36 35 and the account number 01144715. Last word
There are a small number of us working very hard pretty much all year round to try to make each Annual Dinner an enjoyable evening.
Many people in attendance last year said they would book far more places for 2019. Please do so, and let’s make it the best supported Old Williamsonian Dinner ever!!
