Fundamental British Values are covered across the school curriculum.  They are covered in Life Skills and Tutorial Times in the following areas as well as  as and when these topics arise within other units of work.

  • We take part in the Make Your Mark and Youth Parliament elections and work to promote Medway Youth Council with pupil representatives from our school.
  • The Politics Department arranges a number of past and current politicians to visit the school and discuss their work.
  • Well attended, regular KS3 and KS4 Politics club.

  • We are a UNICEF Rights Respecting School and teach rights across the school including a focused article of the week.
  • Talk from Civil Servants from Human Rights Department
  • An established and valued Rights Respecting School Council whom have a Google Classroom and meet regularly. They report on student issues which influences change where appropriate.
