Congratulations to Daniel Alabaster of Yr10!
Daniel and his team (Medway Assassin’s) played in the U19 Roller Hockey National Finals on Sunday 19th September and won, making them the UK National Champions. They will now be representing the UK at the European Championships in June 2022, held in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Daniel plays in defence for the U16’s (they came third in the National’s) and was asked to also play up an age group with the U19’s, which is a huge achievement. As he is only 14, it means he is playing with and against players who are up to 5 years older than him.
In 2019, his U13’s Roller Hockey Team won the National Finals, however Covid meant the European Championships were cancelled. This now makes him a two times National Champion.
In addition to playing Roller Hockey for the Medway Assassin’s, Daniel also plays Ice Hockey for Invicta Junior Ice Hockey Club.
